In November of 2008, Allen co-founded the not-for-profit corporation, SocioEconomic Ventures Inc. (SEV Inc.) to address poverty with internet and social media driven campaigns. Allen currently runs SEV Inc.
LibraryForLaos.org - A worldwide social web campaign to increase opportunities for child literacy in the country of Laos. In a 5 day blitz campaign that collected hundreds of twitter updates and blog posts around the web (including recognition from the St. Louis Cardinals and the World Bank), LibraryForLaos.org succeeded in funding reading programs and book purchases for 6 rural village schools giving between 500-600 impoverished students a chance at a better future.
