Allen Burt - Professional Bio

Allen Burt is a business consultant and social entrepreneur.

Currently, Allen is working with a small team to build a new IP consulting practice for the firm Stout Risius Ross, through business development initiatives and managing client engagements.

In 2008, Allen co-founded the not-for-profit corporation, SocioEconomic Ventures, Inc. (SEV Inc.).  Through SEV Inc., Allen successfully launched the ONLINE blitz marketing campaign, LibraryForLaos.org, to strengthen literacy in the country of Laos and succeeded in funding reading programs and book purchases for 6 rural village schools benefiting between 500-600 impoverished students.

As a consultant, Allen's expertise lies in complex financial, economic, and statistical modeling and analytics for business strategies, asset and business valuations, and market research.

Allen has significant international experience including international business and political science studies in Luxembourg, the BUNAC work program in London, a literacy non-profit campaign in Laos, and extensive travel throughout Europe, Central America, South America, Northern Africa, and East Asia.

Other interests include new technologies, entrepreneurial ventures, skiing, triathlons, the culinary arts and travel writing.  Allen has been published in the areas of social entrepreneurship and travel on the Matador Network - the web's largest independent travel publication.
